Ombraz Brings Back the Best-Selling Slate Dolomite in a Limited Edition Release

A clean Slate returns: Ombraz’s fan fav reemerges for a short time only

Bellevue, WA – October 23, 2025 – Ombraz (ombra, n. shade, in Italian), the award-winning vanguard behind armless sunglasses, is bringing back one of its best-selling frame colors: the Limited-Edition Slate Dolomite, available in a small-batch release this October.

The all-new Ombraz Slate Dolomite is handcrafted and hand-painted in Italy, giving it a natural, earth-toned finish. Built from aerospace-grade TR-90 nylon and fitted with polarized Zeiss light brown optics, it’s engineered for versatile, everyday clarity. The lenses enhance contrast and depth perception in changing light, making them ideal for everything from alpine climbs to coastal road trips.

Defined by its circular frame and signature keyhole double bridge, the Dolomite’s integrated mini visors minimize peripheral glare while meeting rigorous Z87.1 safety standards.

“After countless requests, the Slate frame color is back, and we couldn’t be happier that it’s, well, slated for a return,” laughed Ombraz Cofounder Jensen Brehm at a recent unveiling.

The Limited-Edition Slate Dolomite is priced at $175 and available at Ombraz.com and participating retailers. Each pair includes free shipping, 30-day returns, and a lifetime warranty. Ombraz plants 20 mangrove trees in Madagascar for every pair sold. This sequesters 1,713X more carbon than is emitted to produce and deliver each pair, making Ombraz’ the most carbon-negative product on the planet.

Available in Regular and XL sizes, the Limited-Edition Slate Dolomite is compatible with all Dolomite accessories and limited to just 1,300 pairs. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

About Ombraz Sunglasses

Ombraz (ombra. n. shade in Italian). Ombraz armless sunglasses solve problems. Normal sunglasses break, fall off, pinch your head, and are difficult to store. By replacing arms with a built-in cord, Ombraz don’t break, won’t fall off, and pack flat. People are inherently skeptical – thinking they must look weird or feel like goggles strapped into your eye sockets – but they work, really damn well. When worn correctly, Ombraz are more comfortable than ordinary sunglasses. Since launching in 2019, Ombraz has won 70 ‘Best Of’ outdoor gear awards. For every pair sold, Ombraz plants 20 mangrove trees, sequestering 1,713 times more carbon than it takes to produce and deliver each pair. onWater Fish Launches Angler Intelligence™: The First AI-Native Fishing Experience in Outdoor Recreation

Bozeman, MT – October 24th, 2025 onWater Fish today announces the launch of Angler Intelligence™ – a powerful new suite of AI-native tools embedded directly into the onWater Fish mobile app. Built for real-world decision-making on and off the water, Angler Intelligence is the first true AI-native experience in outdoor recreation, delivering instant, personalized answers to anglers wherever and however they fish.

This milestone release blends onWater’s proprietary data and patented technology with generative and vision AI – helping anglers plan smarter, fish more responsibly, and keep better records with less effort.

“Angler Intelligence isn’t just smart – it’s useful,” said Alex Maier, Chief Marketing and Product Officer at onWater. “We built it from the ground up to turn trusted data into action, and visual AI into a tool for ethics, compliance, and conservation – not novelty.”

Three intelligent tools, built for the whole fishing journey.

Chat

You ask it. Chat answers it.

Chat is the command center of Angler Intelligence™, a real-time advisor that transforms raw data into precise, actionable decisions. From when to fish and which tactics to use to what gear will be most effective, Chat delivers tailored recommendations in seconds.

It’s powered by onWater’s real-time data engine, drawing from live river flow gauges, hatch forecasts, regulations, weather feeds, access points, and historical fishing patterns. This integration means the output isn’t just informative – it’s immediately usable, telling you not only what’s happening but what to do about it.

And because fishing isn’t just about catching fish, Chat is engineered to reinforce safety awareness, conservation-minded practices, species-specific regulations, and local customs and courtesies. It helps anglers avoid dangerous water levels, respect spawning closures, protect sensitive habitats, and interact considerately with others on the water.

In one interface, Chat acts as guide, teacher, trip planner, and steward – equipping anglers with the clarity, confidence, and responsibility to fish better and protect the waters they love.

Measure

You catch it. We measure it.

Measure lets you log accurate fish data by simply uploading a photo. It uses onWater’s patented AI length estimation engine, refined across thousands of test cases and species, to calculate precise length and weight in seconds.

This feature helps anglers know the length and weight of their fish without overhandling the fish, or carrying around extra tools:

This is also a critical tool in onWater’s broader conservation mission. Measure supports photo-based fish journaling efforts with partners like Trout Unlimited’s TroutSpotter program, Science on the Fly, Project Bigwood, and more allowing users to contribute valuable species and size data to research efforts – without invasive measurements.

ID

You catch it. We identify it.

Snap a photo and get a confirmed species ID instantly. ID improves personal learning and ensures accurate logging – but also plays a key role in legal compliance (especially in multispecies fisheries or restricted zones) and supports species tracking for partner organizations.

“These visual tools aren’t toys, they’re part of a smarter, more responsible way to fish,” said Maier. “And they unlock new ways for anglers to contribute to the health of the places they love.”

AI-Native by Design – Not Just a Feature Layer

onWater is the first outdoor recreation app to deliver a fully integrated AI-native design, connecting front-end user prompts with a powerful backend of live data, maps, regulatory content, conservation partner inputs, and on-device vision models.

The result: answers that are not just informative, but actionable. Anglers don’t have to interpret flows, dig for hatch info, or look up state regs, the app does it for them, in plain language, with immediate relevance and actionability in the app.

Available Now!

Angler Intelligenceis available today with the latest update of the mobile app. Early adopters will help shape performance, surface feedback, and contribute to building the next evolution of smart, responsible fishing.

Learn more and watch the feature demo: https://www.onwaterapp.com/features/angler-intelligence

Why It Matters

This launch isn’t about AI hype. It’s about what’s next for outdoor tech: decision tools that are fast, useful, ethical, and built with the angler in mind.

From planning and journaling to legal compliance and science-backed conservation, Angler Intelligence™ is the most advanced and responsible application of AI in outdoor recreation to date.

“We’re building more than a product, we’re building a platform that helps anglers fish smarter, safer, and in alignment with the ecosystems they care about,” said Maier. “That’s why our AI works not only for the individual, but for the greater good of the fishing community.”

About onWater Fish

onWater Fish is a mobile platform built for anglers who want clarity, confidence, and conservation-minded tools. With access maps, patented AI features, and deep partnerships with leading environmental organizations, onWater helps users fish better – and protect the waters they love. Crazy Creek, Rachel Pohl unveil second limited-edition collaboration, the Snow Ghosts Hex 2.0 Chair

This launch is part of the brand’s three-part collaboration with Rachel Pohl, bringing her landscape paintings to life on Crazy Creek’s iconic Hex 2.0 chairs.

Red Lodge, Mont. (Oct. 22, 2025)
Crazy Creek Products, a pioneer in portable outdoor seating, is thrilled to announce the second release in its limited-edition series with acclaimed artist and adventurer Rachel Pohl. The new Snow Ghosts Hex 2.0 Chair blends Crazy Creek’s lightweight seating with Pohl’s distinct art style, this time inspired by a dreamlike winter landscape in the forests of Norway.

Pohl, who grew up in Bozeman and now resides in Norway, is known for her vivid nature-landscape paintings. This limited-edition model features Pohl’s painting “The Snowy Path,” a dreamy alpine landscape at sunset. Though painted from a moment in Norway, the imagery is meant to spark memories of anyone’s snowy adventures in alpine places.

“I have been in love with Crazy Creek chairs for 30 years! Ever since I was a toddler, I’ve loved bringing them on hikes, backpacking trips, camping trips, and my favorite: plein air painting,” said Pohl. “To me, Crazy Creek is synonymous with having a relaxing and meaningful time being present with nature. I think in order to really fall in love with a place, you have to be still with it. This collab has meant so much to me.”

Built on Crazy Creek’s best-selling Hex 2.0 Chair, this limited-edition version features Pohl’s artwork printed on ultra-durable, water-resistant ripstop polyester, with key technical features like carbon-reinforced stays for back support, compact roll-up design for easy transport, and high-density closed-cell foam for insulation and comfort. Lightweight and built to last, it’s the perfect combination of art and utility, designed for snowy trailheads, cozy campfires, and wild places in between.

This chair is backed by Crazy Creek’s limited lifetime warranty, reinforcing a shared commitment between artist and brand to sustainability and quality.

The first drop in the series, the Pine Creek colorway, featuring the “paintbrush and asters” print from Pohl’s “August Paintbrush” painting on the Hex 2.0 Original Chair, is still available now at crazycreek.com. The third chair in the series will launch in 2026.
