MSR expands Titanium cookware collection with new and updated products for S24, offering minimalist luxury for the gram-counters of the world

SEATTLE, Wash. (June 22, 2023) — Seattle-based Mountain Safety Research® (MSR®), the high-performance outdoor equipment that’s part of the parent company Cascade Designs, is excited to introduce three new products to its Titanium cookware assortment for spring 2024 – a Titan Double Wall Mug, Titan Long Spoon and Titan Spork. The brand also refreshes the collection with thoughtful updates to their Titan Kettles and their 450 mL Titan Cup, all designed to be more functional, packable and reliable than ever before, making them the ultimate ultralight choice for thru-hikers and gram counters.

“As more adventurers turn to minimalist gear to decrease pack weight, we are excited to launch the updated Titan line for those looking for the best in lightweight durability,” said Kalon Pilmanis, Vice President of Product Development. “We also reimagined how everything in the lineup nests together, as we know space is another priority for ultralight backpackers. In addition to the kettles and mugs fitting together stacked inside one another, a stove and/or fuel canister can also be combined so that everything needed for cooking on trail can be packed together nicely.”

The new Titan Double Wall Mug (MSR: $49.95 USD) provides double wall performance that’s still light enough to carry in the backcountry. It features exceptional heat retention in an ultralight package and a durable plastic sipper lid. The sipping lid helps keep drinks warmer, longer while in the backcountry.

The new Titan Long Spoon and Titan Spork are designed with gram-counters in mind who need less weight and simple, durable performance. The Long Spoon (MSRP $17.95 USD) is ultralight and as its name suggests, is extra-long for reaching into dehydrated meal pouches and tall pots. The bowl of the spoon is sized for a comfortable mouthfeel and includes a carabiner loop. The new Titan Spork (MSRP: $14.95) is the reigning utensil champ of ultralight versatility with a handle carabiner loop.

For spring 2024, MSR’s Titan Kettles will see significant updates. The two new sizes – 900 and 1400mL better cater to the preferred volume needs of thru-hikers and ultralighters who tend to only boil water or melt snow. These kettles will now feature an improved spout for easy pouring and new silicone-coated handles that fold closed for packing. These improved handles provide comfort while holding and stay more secure while in your pack. Finally, the kettles also received a new snug-fit lid with a new knob design and internal graduation marks, which make for easy volume measurements.

The Titan Kettle 900mL (MSRP: $64.95 USD), which weighs in at 4.6 ounces, is the perfect choice for one person, when looking for an ultralight and durable cookpot to boil water, or to use as a bowl or mug. The Titan Kettle 1400 mL (MSRP: $69.95 USD), which weighs 5.7 ounces, is the larger offering, a perfect ultralight kettle for backcountry duos who want to boil water or melt snow.

The final updated product for spring 2024 is the Titan Cup 450mL (MSRP: $39.95 USD). This cup is the ultimate minimalist cookpot or ultralight cup to accompany a kettle. It features a silicon lip saver band to protect from hot meals (remember to remove before heating cup), silicone-coated handles that fold closed for packing and are comfortable to hold and internal graduation marks that make for easy volume measurement. An added bonus; the 900mL kettle nestles perfectly inside the 1400mL kettle and the Titan Cup 450mL nests perfectly inside the 900mL kettle.

All of this updated MSR Titanium cookware will launch to the public starting in spring 2024. For more information about MSR, please visit: msrgear.com
