FMFF Fall Showcase films include:

“Designed by Disaster”

“Designed by Disaster” (teaser preview) is an inspiring story about Danny Giovale, a passionate climber whose life-changing accident in the Dolomites compels him to address a critical safety gap in mountain travel. Three decades later, equipped with the product he invented, Danny returns to complete the climb that nearly took his life. Directed by award-winning Flagstaff-based filmmaker, James ‘Q’ Martin. In Person: Danny Giovale, Timmy O’Neill, James ‘Q’ Martin

“Dam(n) Loop”

World Premiere

The “Dam(n) Loop” is a 10 minute film following Ultra Athlete Rob Krar as he establishes an impressive, 100% self-powered and self-supported running and packrafting loop in northern Arizona. The film explores this historic route and offers a bit of levity as the film is just as much about Rob’s journey as the filmmakers’ trials and tribulations doing all they can to keep up with him while filming. In Person: Rob Krar

“Canyon Chorus”

Join Mikah Meyer, his mentor Larry, and three friends as they journey down Utah’s Green River, in Desolation Canyon, on a river rafting trip centered around friendship and joy. “Canyon Chorus” is a story about being your true self in the outdoors, about advocacy, and about recognizing the important people in our lives. In Person: Mikah Meyer

“26,000 Days”

This is the story of Eric Tucker, an airshow pilot who turns most pilots’ nightmare into a beautiful dance. Through flying dead-stick–turning his own engine off and falling out of the sky–Eric confronts the challenge of how to make the most of life and live without regret.
