CAPSTONE PROJECTS

Each year, OIA partners with several outdoor-focused non-profit organizations for our FLA Capstone Projects. The Capstone Projects are group-based, consulting projects where FLA participants apply their real-world skills and learning from the program to help non-profits address a problem, develop a program, or make headway on an existing initiative. If you are interested in becoming a non-profit partner, please review our non-profit requirements, FAQs, and complete our Non-Profit Capstone Partner Proposal Form. or contact Kristen Freaney at kfreaney@outdoorindustry.org.

CAPSTONE GOALS

The FLA Capstone Projects provide FLA participants with the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned throughout the program about themselves, team dynamics, and the future of the industry to a project that provides value and drives strategic progress for our non-profit members. The goal of these projects is to create a roadmap or deliverable that is adopted into a non-profit’s strategic plan, or that advances a current strategic plan initiative that would have otherwise not had the bandwidth/resources to move forward.
