Wenger Giant Swiss Army Knife Becomes Musical Hit

Orangeburg, NY, September 1, 2011 — Just when it looked like Wenger had identified every possible function for its Guinness World Record Giant Swiss Army Knife they recently discovered another – a musical instrument. Wenger collaborated with Sound Designer and Composer Roger Lima of WhiteNoise Lab to create a music video featuring its Giant Swiss Army Knife as the lone instrument.  The hit video titled “Giant Swiss Army Knife Beats,” which has already received 26,000 views on YouTube, creates rhythmic and percussion sounds using the knife’s 87 implements and 141 functions. Throughout the compilation, the Giant Swiss Army Knife is opened and closed, cuts through paper, slices an apple and opens bottles, building and blending together a variety of sounds that are carefully mixed to create a unique beat and creative video.

“We were very lucky to be able to collaborate with Roger Lima. His talent level and creative abilities are off the charts,” said Wenger VP Marketing Dennis Piretra. “The end result blew us away and far exceeded our expectations. It’s still hard to believe that all the sound is from the knife. We’re now joking that that knife is an 87 piece percussion band.”

WhiteNoise Lab, a leader in the creative industry, has partnered with some of the most recognizable names in business, developing music composition, sound design and video editing for corporations such as Google, MTV, Specialized, John Deere, IBM and Lenovo.
