Durango, Colo. (July 7) — Hot off the heels of Courtney Dauwalter’s record-breaking performance at Western States using her signature Endurance Fuel flavor, Dauwaltermelon, Tailwind Nutrition is gearing up for the Hardrock 100 Mile Endurance Run, where its Endurance Fuel will be served at aid stations and Recovery Mix made available to runners as they finish. Hardrock–which begins on July 14– is a “hometown” race for Tailwind, who manufactures its drink mixes in nearby Durango, CO. The race is expected to be even more epic and challenging after a record-breaking snow year in the San Juans.
Athletes participating in the mountainous Hardrock course will have access to both regular and caffeinated flavors of Tailwind Nutrition products . Tailwind Endurance Fuel is simple and complete, providing athletes with all the calories and electrolytes needed for long distance events like the Hardrock 100. It’s also designed to be easy on the stomach and can be more manageable than solid foods at high altitude and deep into a long effort.

Dauwalter will be running the race after winning and setting a course record in 2022. Other Tailwind athletes running the race include 8-time Western States finisher Pam Reed and 2022 Run Rabbit Run champion Annie Hughes.
Tailwind will kick off the week by sponsoring the Silverton Alpine 50k and Marathon on July 8 as well as the Kendall Mountain Run on July 9.
