Suunto and Hammerhead Partner to Expand Capabilities and Offer Seamless Solution for Multisport Athletes

Utilizing Suunto watches and Hammerhead Karoo 2 cycling computers, multisport athletes can now easily track performance, training, and route data in one place via the Suunto app 

HELSINKI (April 22, 2022) – Today Suunto, known for their world-renowned GPS multisport watches and training tools, announced a partnership with Hammerhead, innovators of cycling technology and makers of the Karoo 2 cycling computer.

The partnership offers multisport athletes a seamless solution for managing performance tracking, training efforts, and route finding. Athletes can now ride with Karoo 2 cycling computer and run, swim, and hike with Suunto watch. All workouts from these devices are now visible in the Suunto app for performance analysis and can be shared to 200 other tools to further expand performance benefits.

Effective immediately, Hammerhead customers can connect with the Suunto app via Karoo 2 and the Hammerhead Dashboard. Most notably, riders will gain access to Suunto Heatmaps which allows cyclists to follow the most popular paths. The Karoo 2 is the first non-Suunto branded device that can be fully used with the Suunto app, and is the first cycling computer to illustrate popular paths in real time. Additionally, riders can contribute to Heatmaps by sharing ride data to benefit other athletes.

To celebrate the partnership Hammerhead and Suunto, along with Komoot, have invited all multisport athletes across the globe to participate in the #SeeTheAdventureAhead Earth Day Challenge. For eligible activities uploaded between April 22 – May 11, 2022, Hammerhead, Suunto, and Komoot will commit to planting 10,000 trees with the Tree Nation Charity.
