Lift Foils Launches Limited-Edition Florence x Pyzel 6’0 Board

Aguadilla, Puerto Rico (May 6, 2025)Lift Foils – creators, innovators, and developers of eFoils, surf foils, and foiling equipment – is proud to announce the release of the Florence x Pyzel 6’0, a limited-edition board that blends legendary surf shaping, deep-water performance, and true rider validation. Designed by Jon Pyzel in collaboration with John Florence and Nathan Florence, this board joins the Florence Collection by Lift—a product line crafted for deep water exploration and performance beyond the break.

At 60 liters, the Florence x Pyzel 6’0 paddles effortlessly, catches waves early, and performs in a wide range of conditions—making it ideal for small surf, chip-downwinders, and light wing sessions.

“The 6’0 Florence x Pyzel is the board I keep reaching for,” says Lift Foils founder Nick Leason. “It paddles like a dream and lets me catch more waves than anything else in my quiver. It’s changed the way I think about long prone boards—and how much time I get to spend flying.”

Though designed as a prone and downwind-focused shape, the board’s narrow profile, flat deck, and lightweight construction give it surprising agility. It’s a longboard for foilers, designed to maximize motion and minimize wait time.

Key Features:

  • 60L volume for increased paddle speed and early takeoff
  • Shaped by Jon Pyzel, one of surfing’s most respected craftsmen
  • Designed by John and Nathan Florence, rooted in downwind performance
  • Tested and validated by Nick Leason, Lift Foils founder and rider
  • Lightweight construction, flat deck, and narrow outline for control and stability
  • Limited-run release with select availability

This board is a proof of concept for what’s possible when world-class riders and designers team up with Lift’s build quality and engineering. It marks the beginning of a longer collaboration, but this shape—available now in a small batch—may not return in its current form.

“The reason we created this board was to make every session easier, whether you’re popping up on a wave that’s barely breaking or chipping into the side of a bigger wave to start a downwind run,” said John Florence. “Having that paddle power just opens up so many opportunities and makes it all more accessible; the shape helps the board cut  through the wind for its size, and once you’re up on foil, it feels surprisingly light and loose.”

The Florence x Pyzel 6’0 is available now while supplies last. To check out and explore the entire Florence + Lift Collection lineup, please visit https://liftfoils.com/pages/florence.

Lectric eBikes Reveals Follow-Up to America’s Most Popular eBike

PHOENIX (May 6, 2025) – Lectric eBikes today launched the next evolution of America’s most popular ebike, the XPTM 3.0, with the eagerly-anticipated XP4. The all new XP4 builds on the versatile, high-performing, and award-winning design of the XP model, a pillar in the ebike industry beloved by more than 400,000 riders across the U.S. The XP4 is now available for pre-order at the same starting price as the XP 3.0, including a standard 500-watt motor and a new 750-watt motor model, the XP4 750.

“Because this model is so important to us and our riding community, we were determined to hold the line on price,” said Lectric eBikes co-founder and CEO Levi Conlow. “While other ebike companies continue to raise prices and launch new products at higher price points, we know riders are going to appreciate Lectric going against the grain and making huge improvements for the same entry price we set more than four years ago.”

Built for both fun and function, the eagerly anticipated XP4 carries on the tradition of the ultimate utility unit, made with an abundance of upgrades to the undisputed industry standard for foldable electric bikes. The XP4 takes its predecessor’s critically-acclaimed concept and incorporates vast improvements, including a new in-house designed torque sensor that helps manage power output based on the rider’s pedaling effort to provide more control and an overall better riding experience. Also new to the XP4 is a fully redesigned frame, new colors, full color TFT display, new hydraulic brakes, and an 8-speed Shimano Altus drivetrain. This modular marvel is also compatible with an expansive range of accessories to carry gear, groceries, tools, coolers, food containers, furry friends, children, and even adults, with a redesigned rear LevelUp Rack and additional points and tie-downs for toting, towing, and transporting.

The XP4 comes with a 500-watt motor and a 10.4 Ah battery, starting at the same price as the XP 3.0 for $999.00. The XP4 750 comes with a 750-watt motor and a 17.5 Ah battery for $1,299, something that’s never been accomplished before at this price point. Also, riders of the XP 3.0, which only came in two color options, have continually asked for more choices. The XP4 now comes in four colors, including Stratus White, Tempest Gray, Raindrop Blue, and Pine Green. High step versions of the XP4 are available in Tempest Gray and a step-thru version in Stratus White. For the XP4 750, high step models are available in Tempest Gray and Pine Green, and step-thru models are available in Tempest Gray, Stratus White, and Raindrop Blue.

The XP4 also gives riders an improved riding position with a zero-degree stem, enhanced safety with brake lights and turn signals, easier control with a left side thumb throttle opposite to the right side shifter, better steering control with lock-on grips, easier installation of new quick-release pedals with splined inserts, quieter and more agile control with 20-inch mixed terrain tires, and easier access with a repositioned, non-drive side key placement. As with all Lectric eBikes, the XP4 is compliant to UL 2849. The XP4 batteries are also compatible with a 5-amp fast charger option that decreases charge times by 60 percent and can provide a full charge of the 10.4 Ah battery in just two hours. The XP4 is also certified to the international safety standard ISO 4210.

The XP4 and XP4 750 are available for pre-sale now at LectriceBikes.com. Select models will begin shipping in June.

With nine new climbers joining the team, from North American to Europe, Arc’teryx continues to strengthen its commitment to the climbing community by investing in athletes who embody passion, progression, and advocacy for the sport.

The newly announced athletes include:

Kai Lightner (North Carolina, USA)

One of the most accomplished climbers of his generation, Kai Lightner brings nearly two decades of experience to the Arc’teryx team. A Youth World Champion, national titleholder, and 5.15 climber, Kai is also the founder of Climbing for Change, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing access and representation in climbing. Known for his powerful style, leadership, and advocacy, Kai continues to push the sport forward, on and off the wall.

Matilda Söderlund (Sweden)

From Stockholm – Sweden, Matilda has been a changemaker both on and off the rock within the climb community. She remains the only Swedish woman, so far, to climb a 9a and in 2022, she climbed Rayu, in Spain, the hardest big wall ever climbed by an all-female team. From her first climb, to the establishment of her own climbing gym, Moumo and most recently the founding of Bergskultur, a completely free all girls climb camp, Matilda has already made a legacy to carve the path for more women to climb and remove accessibility barriers.

Lara Neumeier (Germany)

Raised in the German Alps and climbing before she could walk, Lara Neumeier is one of Europe’s strongest female big wall and trad climbers. After stepping away from the competition scene as a teenager, she focused on bold outdoor ascents—most notably becoming the first woman to free climb the legendary Psychogramm (8b+ trad). With a Master’s in Marketing and a full-time focus on climbing, Lara continues to chase global test-pieces with calm determination and a deep love for the mountains.

Jim Pope (United Kingdom)

Jim Pope is a versatile UK climber known for excelling across disciplines—bouldering, sport, trad, alpinism, and big walls. Growing up in London, he found his start in gym competitions but later moved to Sheffield to pursue outdoor climbing and broaden his experience. Outside of climbing, Jim expresses his creativity through foraging, cooking, photography, and even making his own clothes.

Maya Madere (Texas, USA)

Maya Madere found climbing at age ten and quickly became a standout comp boulderer, later transitioning to send hard sport routes outside. Known for her stubborn grit and sharp humor, she balances intensity with fun, pursuing “maximum fun” as both a climbing goal and life philosophy. A Stanford grad with a background in computer science, Maya has claimed first female ascents of 5.14s in Lake Tahoe and the New River Gorge.

Sachi Amma (Japan)

Sachi began climbing in 2002 at the age of 13, initially focused on competitions he achieved overall victory in the IFSC Lead World Cup for two consecutive years in 2012 and 2013. In 2015, Sachi shifted focus to outdoor rock climbing, travelling the world to where his next project took him, and became the first Japanese climber to ascend a 5.15b route. Following this he made the first ascent of a new 5.15b route at Gozeniwa, Japan. In 2022, Sachi completed the first ascent of Saigo no Mono (5.14b R) at Mt. Mizugaki, using only all-natural protection with no bolts. This year, Sachi’s ambitions are to work on four different projects across Spain, France, China, and in Japan.

Amelie Kühne (Germany)

An accomplished alpinist and former competition climber, Amelie Kühne brings a creative, movement-focused mindset to her climbing. From summiting Mont Blanc on skis at 15 to free climbing El Capitan’s Freerider in 2024, her resume already spans Europe, Greenland, and Patagonia. Now based in Innsbruck, she’s part of a new generation blending serious mountain objectives with a passion for fun, storytelling, and community.

Hector Ravanel (Chamonix, France)

Raised in the heart of Chamonix’s storied climbing culture, Hector Ravanel blends deep local knowledge with bold alpine ambition. A student of sports science and seasoned ski instructor, Hector thrives in both competition and remote alpine environments. From Digital Crack on the Aiguille du Midi to long mixed routes like the Dru North Face, he’s building a career rooted in performance, place, and preservation.

Tyler Thompson (North Carolina, USA)

Beginning his rock climbing journey on the granite slabs of North Carolina at just seven years of age, Tyler’s earlier years were focused on youth competitions, with national recognition. Throughout high school Tyler spent time at New River George, leading his first 5.13 (7c+ to 8b) at iconic spots like the Coliseum and the Cirque. From granite slabs, to the limestone terrain of Ten Sleep in Wyoming, Tyler’s draw to the outdoors has broadened his climbing experience, always wanting to find the best and hardest lines to push himself on. New River George remains a place of making milestones, including climbing “Still Life” (5.14b/8c) and “Southern Smoke” (5.15a/9a+).

These new team members join a roster of world-class climbers who are not only exceptional athletes but also mentors, advocates, and community leaders. Arc’teryx’s investment in both established professionals and emerging talent reflects its dedication to fostering a diverse and inspiring climbing culture worldwide.

Since 2020, Arc’teryx has increased the number of female climb athletes on its global roster by 100%, with the team now comprising 19 women among a total of 40 athletes. This focus on inclusivity and equity aligns with the brand’s broader mission to create a climbing culture that is accessible to all.

“Joining the Arc’teryx team is a dream come true and I feel very honored! I’ve admired Arc’teryx in their dedication to always striving to be better, making the best products and having an amazing team of athletes and people working with the brand.” said Matilda Söderlund, Arc’teryx Climb Athlete. “To me, being part of this team means joining a community of athletes who inspire me to dream bigger and explore further. I’m SO excited and can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!”

With this latest expansion of the athlete team, Arc’teryx reaffirms its role as a leader in the global climb community, supporting athletes at every stage of their journey, from young talent to world-renowned professionals.

“As a professional climber and founder of Climbing for Change, I’ve always believed that performance and purpose should go hand in hand,” said Kai Lightner. “Joining the Arc’teryx athlete team means partnering with a brand that not only delivers world-class gear, but also shares a commitment to building a more inclusive and sustainable outdoor community. Excited to grow with this team and create meaningful work together.”

“In 2025, we welcome nine new athletes to the Arc’teryx climb team! In this impressive group we have experts across many different disciplines of rock climbing from indoor competition to bouldering, alpine climbing and sport climbing.” Jonathan Siegrist, Arc’teryx Climb Captain. “This huge addition represents a clear commitment to Arc’teryx’ roots in rock climbing and a motivation to continue supporting athletes that are pushing themselves and inspiring others to do the same.”
