SOUTHLAKE, Texas (December 8, 2020) – Solo Stove, designers of simple, ingenious solutions to make life easier, is proud to announce that its newest product, the Solo Stove Grill, has been recognized as a winner of Popular Science’s 2020 Best of What’s New Awards. The awards celebrate the top 100 most innovative products and technologies from the past year. The Solo Stove Grill was featured in the “Home” category of the awards.

“We’re honored to receive this award alongside so many impressive innovators,” said John Merris, CEO of Solo Stove. “With the Grill, we have not only have made charcoal grilling faster, simpler and cleaner – we’ve made it easier for families to come together and create lasting memories around a cooking experience. We’re thrilled to be recognized with a Best of What’s New Award.”

The Solo Stove Grill provides an optimized experience from assembly to clean-up, with a simple set-up that allows users to begin grilling within a matter of minutes.  The grill incorporates the same engineering principles as all of Solo Stove’s camp stoves and fire pits, with a double-wall design and unique air flow vents that significantly improve performance. The heat-up timeframe has been reduced by 25 to 50 percent in comparison to traditional charcoal grills and the convective heating holds steady the ideal grilling temperatures, allowing users to continue grilling longer.

Since 1988, the editors of Popular Science have reviewed thousands of products in search of the top 100 innovations – breakthrough products and technologies that represent significant advancements in their categories. Best of What’s New Awards are presented to products and technologies in 10 categories: Aerospace, Automotive, Engineering, Entertainment, Gadgets, Health, Home, Personal Care, Recreation, and Security.

“The Best of What’s New Awards showcase the year’s greatest feats of human ingenuity,” said Popular Science Editor-in-Chief Corinne Iozzio. “Even in a year like 2020, innovation has helped us glimpse a future that’s safer, smarter, and more enjoyable than we might have thought possible. This collection, which includes everything from a new generation of Mars explorers to ultra-hygienic print-to-order eyeshadows, is full of items we’re proud to call the Best of What’s New.”

The Solo Stove Grill is available now at select retailers and online at www.Solostove.com.
