Eagles Nest Outfitters Updates ‘Responsible Hammocking’ Guide In Amazon FFP Packaging

Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO), manufacturer of parachute nylon hammocks and outdoor accessories, asserted its commitment to low-impact recreation.  All DoubleNest Hammocks and Atlas Hammock Suspension Straps distributed by NetRush in Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging now include an updated “Guide To Responsible Hammocking”.

This initiative is in line with the brand’s partnership with the Leave No Trace Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to protect the outdoors by teaching and inspiring people to enjoy it responsibly.

ENO initially created the guide to highlight an important environmental issue by way of communicating proper use of their products to consumers. The brochure is based on the Leave No Trace Foundation’s Seven Principles and provides detailed instructions on how to responsibly enjoy hammocking in the outdoors, while leaving the smallest environmental footprint possible.  

“By partnering with Leave No Trace we support their efforts in educating and encouraging people to get outdoors and recreate responsibly. We recognize the importance of doing our part to protect the places where we play, whether it’s a  local city park, or a National Park. We want to inspire people to get out and relax in a hammock, but to do it in a way that minimizes impact on their surroundings and respects others,” said Amy Allison, Marketing and Events Coordinator at Eagles Nest Outfitters.

NetRush, the retail partner to Eagles Nest Outfitters on Amazon, used the brochure as an opportunity to add value to their retail relationship. In the fall of 2015, The Vancouver-based retail strategist gave the brochure a makeover. Kyle Andrews, ENO’s Brand Manager at NetRush, spearheaded the guide’s re-release by collaborating with Eagles Nest Outfitters Marketing team. “We saw the partnership between the Leave No Trace Foundation (LNT) and ENO as a great opportunity to help increase awareness and education around environmental responsibility. Including these guides in our customized, recyclable packaging was a win for everyone and a great way to get that message out there.”
