Over the last year+ we have made marked improvements to gather primary and secondary data that has progressed our GHG inventory to more of a true measurement than a rough estimate. This refinement has allowed us to see in more detail the effects of various business practices on our GHG emissions, and while we are making meaningful changes they do not show up instantaneously on the ledger. A tough year for profit also factors into our lack of progress towards our scope 3 economic intensity target, despite reduced absolute emissions.
