Shred Dog, creator of the industry’s most technical youth outdoor apparel, is excited to announce the launch of its new fall/winter apparel collection designed to keep kids comfortably enjoying the outdoors regardless of the weather.
Leading the charge for the new fall styles is the Elevated Kids’ Hardshell, designed for versatile layering and to provide complete weather protection whether in variable mountain conditions or just adventuring in the yard or local park. Rising to a performance level never before seen in kids’ apparel, the Elevated Hardshell is just as waterproof as adult’s high performance shells with features including 20k/20k waterproof/breathability, full seam-taping, waterproof zippers, underarm vents, rubberized wrist gaskets, a helmet-compatible hood, powder skirt and many more details active kids need.
The Element Kids’ Insulator features a high performance, wind and water resistant fabric with supreme durability, making it the ideal everyday essential, as a standalone puffy jacket on the mountain, layered underneath the hardshell, or zipped directly into the hardshell for an integrated winter jacket on cold days. The Element features 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation for a thin-but-warm silhouette and is strategically body-mapped with thicker insulation throughout the core (100 grams) and lighter insulation in the arms (60 grams).
The new Elevated Kids’ Convertible Bib/Pant matches the elite performance of the Elevated Hardshell with 20k/20k waterproof/breathability, full seam-taping, and waterproof zippers. The bib/pant also features inner thigh vents, reinforced knees, hem, and inner ankle, and a removable bib module, giving parents and kids the choice of bibs or pants, depending on style or weather conditions.
All Shred Dog hardshells, insulator jackets, and bib/pants feature the company’s industry-first and proprietary Adjust-a-Fit™ system that lengthens AND shortens sleeves and pant legs for growing kids, hand-me-downs, or just a perfect fit.
Also new for the 2020/2021 line is the soft, warm and durable Essential Mid-Layer Fleece. Designed to retain heat while providing moisture management and evaporation, the Essential features zippered hand pockets and is a year-round must-have for any outdoor adventure.
Completing the layering system for warmth and fun, the Kids’ Foundation Baselayer Top and Bottom are designed for easy layering and added warmth. The super soft, moisture-wicking material keeps kids dry and comfortable, while 4-way stretch fabric allows for full freedom of movement, which every kid needs.
The new collection is available in kids’ sizes 4-16 and with the company’s direct to consumer pricing, all styles are 40% less everyday than if sold through retailers with prices ranging from $30-$180. The D2C business model allows Shred Dog to use higher quality materials and include features that deliver higher performance yet keep prices more affordable since kids outgrow their gear every year or two.
All 2020/2021 styles are available for discounted pre-order now on ShredDog.com and all orders will ship in early November.
“We started Shred Dog because we believe in kids staying outdoors, making memories with their families, regardless of the weather, and we were tired of paying top-dollar for premium brands that lacked the performance our kids needed,” said Marc Dietz, co-founder of Shred Dog. “Our first line changed the game and the stories we’ve heard from parents having entirely new and better experiences with their kids, have been incredibly humbling and validating. With the new Elevated collection, we are proud to say we’ve raised the bar again.”
