Craft Sportswear and Lucia Pizza Serve Up a Limited-Edition Kype Pro Model Ahead of the New York City Marathon
BORÅS, Sweden – Oct. 29, 2025 – Just in time for the New York City Marathon, Craft Sportswear is serving up something fast and fresh with the limited-edition Craft x Lucia Kype Pro, a performance running shoe inspired by one of New York’s most iconic culinary staples.
Designed in collaboration with Lucia Pizza, a beloved New York City institution known for its legendary slices, the shoe delivers a slice of classic New York style reimagined through Craft’s pinnacle racing model.

The Kype Pro represents the pinnacle of Craft’s road running innovation, built for racers seeking elite performance. Featuring Xx Foam with a Pebax midsole for lightweight, nitrogen-infused cushioning, an Arris carbon fiber plate for enhanced propulsion, and a breathable open-weave upper for all-day comfort, the shoe delivers elite speed, efficiency and control with a playful nod to the city that never stops moving.
To celebrate the launch, Craft will host a party Thursday, Oct. 30, at the brand’s SoHo pop-up shop at 21 Spring St. from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy slices from Lucia, cold drinks, a live DJ and custom flash tattoos by Uplift Tattoo. The evening will celebrate an unexpected partnership where running, community and culture collide, only in New York.
The celebration continues with a 5K Shakeout Run on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m., hosted by Sombra Civilization, a local NYC run club known for fostering community and creativity. The event is open to all runners, with multiple pace groups and a post-run raffle to win a pair of the new Kype Pros.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can also meet Craft athletes Tim Tollefson, who is running the 2025 NYC Marathon, and David Laney. Both will share race day tips and insights about the Lucia Kype Pro.

Thursday, Oct. 30: 6–9:30 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 31: 10 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 1: 10 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
Customers can visit the Craft NYC pop-up shop to purchase the limited-edition Kype Pro shoes ($320) along with additional items from the Craft x Lucia collaboration.
The Craft x Lucia Kype Pro shoe will be made available online later this season, exclusively in the U.S., at craftsports.us.
