Body Glove and Marquee Brands have announced they have extended a multi-year extension with their longstanding partner McPhail Sports. Regarded as a successful distribution company based in New Zealand, McPhail Sports Limited will continue their agreement to develop and produce innovative Body Glove product lines for today’s new generation of Body Glove consumers in Australia and New Zealand.
With the increased demand for Body Glove last year, the brand saw remarkable growth during the pandemic. Consumers sought out Body Glove’s innovative hard goods, such as inflatable kayaks and ISUPs, along with swimwear, wetsuits, and an extensive soft line offering. The South California brand, whose founders were the original creators of the wetsuit, saw 2021 as a breakout year with record sales in its 68-year history.
Following Body Glove’s relaunch in Japan and ongoing interest in the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the renewed agreement with McPhail will strengthen Body Glove’s presence at retail in Australia and New Zealand. The brand will further capitalize on rising interest in action sports across the region and further afield across Asia.
