What is climate action corps?
Climate Action Corps (CAC) is an OIA-led program to help you take collective action against climate change by reducing and removing greenhouse gas emissions across the outdoor industry and carving a new bold path for others to follow.
CAC participants are business leaders, climate experts, outdoor enthusiasts, and OIA members who represent $25B in annual sales revenue, over 85 companies, and more than 200 individuals.

SOLUTIONS AND STRATEGIES
Get 24/7 access to toolkits and roadmaps to help members:
- Measure & Plan: Build a company-specific plan and measure your Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
- Reduce & Remove: Take immediate action to drive down emissions in line with 2030 science-based targets. Remove >100% remaining emissions by investing in direct projects or offsets, which will ideally be nature-based.
- Advocate & Engage: Participate in climate advocacy actions annually and empower consumer climate action.
Consultation and collaboration
- Share climate expertise, create connections, and learn about best practices with other companies on our member-only community engagement platform.

Impact CoLabs
Impact CoLabs are targeted collaborations that OIA leads or partners on to help Climate Action Corps members work together to reduce emissions that are hardest to reach by one company alone.
OIA and five of its Climate Action Corps members –Patagonia, Burton, New Balance, REI, and W.L. Gore – are excited to initiate this study to help decarbonize the apparel and textile sector.
OIA's Drinkware CoLab helps drinkware suppliers reduce GHG emissions with less time, cost, and effort by prioritizing factories shared by Corps members.
OIA’s Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA) Aggregation CoLab is focused on helping Corps member companies source renewable energy for operations in the U.S. and Canada.
The Alternative Nylon CoLab helps brands look at the potential to scale up recycled nylon within their own business and the industry’s recycled nylon supply chain.
The Clean Energy Investment Accelerator CoLab helps support soft and hard goods suppliers in decarbonizing their factories.
The Carbon Leadership Project CoLab is focused on working together to reduce emissions across their shared supply chains.
