SANTA BARBARA, Calif. and MOAB, Utah – June 15, 2023 – Field Station, an inspiring and inclusive modern lodging brand for the active outdoor community, is celebrating the launch of its first location in Moab, July 7-9, 2023. Field Station’s Stay Out There Festival is an immersive weekend in Moab featuring climbing and bouldering clinics, gear demos and talks, community rides, sunset hikes, live music, and evening conversations with brands, athletes, and lovers of the outdoors.
Field Station and Stay Out There Fest guests are encouraged to choose their own adventure throughout the weekend, with a variety of workshops and activities being offered. When not out and about, guests can refresh in the Field Station pool with red rock vistas, grab coffee or adult beverages and snacks and food from Little Station Coffee & Kitchen or hang in our lounge with like-minded lovers of the outdoors.
Stay Out There Fest schedule highlights include:
- FRIDAY, JULY 7
- 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.: Kick off the weekend at Field Station with Vinyl Deejay, live music, gear talks and giveaways, demos, workshops, food & drink specials and more. (Complimentary)
- 8 p.m. – 9 p.m.: Moab fireside chat with Adventure Journal’s founder Stephen Casimiro, Moab locals Sam Van Wetter, writer and Adventure Journal contributor, writer Kristina Young, founder of Science Moab, and Ashley Korenblatt, founder of Western Spirit Cycling. (Complimentary)
- 9 p.m. – 10 p.m.: Field Station After Hours, where guests can roast up s’mores and browse magazines, artifacts, and catalogs from Utah State University’s Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Lab. (Complimentary)
- SATURDAY, JULY 8
- 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Morning Bouldering and Mindfulness Workshop with Usal® at Big Bend Bouldering Area. $90, reservations required). Includes bouldering equipment grab and go lunch, beverages, and select Usal products to take home
- 3 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: A Half-day All-levels Climbing Clinic out in Moab with Black Diamond includes all climbing equipment, food & drink, and select Black Diamond gear to take home. ($110, reservations required)
- 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.: Magic Hour Walkabout hosted by Friends of Arches & Canyonlands. An Ed Abbey-inspired sunset and night walkabout experience with stargazing will cover the history of the Arches National Park, its cultural legacy, flora and fauna and more.
