Primus Introduces New Drinking Bottle Colorway in Support Of LGBTQI Community
A portion of proceeds from sales of Rainbow Klunken drinking bottles to benefit international LQBTQI
organization and raise awareness to promote human rights
LOUISVILLE, Colo. (Oct. 1, 2021) — Primus, the Swedish outdoor equipment brand known since 1892 for
its innovative outdoor cooking products, announces the launch of the Klunken Rainbow bottle, a new
colorway in the Klunken family of drinking bottles that is dedicated to raising awareness for the lesbian,
gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI) community.
“At Primus we want to inspire anyone and everyone that is interested in nature to feel welcome in the
outdoors,” says Becky Day, marketing manager for Primus. “With the rainbow being a symbol of diversity
and inclusion for human sexuality and gender, we’re proud to honor the LGBTQI community with a bottle
dedicated to raising awareness and that supports an international human rights organization that
empowers individuals within the community.”
Launched in Spring 2021, the Klunken series of drinking bottles
provides a solution to carrying a water bottle in the side pockets of the
iconic Fjällräven Kånken daypack. The Klunken Rainbow complements
the Kånken Rainbow series to amplify the message that the outdoors
are for all, with details that include a rainbow webbing strap and the
phrases, “Nature doesn’t judge,” and, “Love is love,” embossed on the
lid of the bottle. Primus will donate one Euro for each bottle sold to
the Belgium-based International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender
Queer and Intersex Youth and Student Organization, IGLYO.
Available in a 0.5-liter size, the Klunken Rainbow (MSRP $29.95) is a double-wall drinking bottle that is
lightweight and well-suited for staying hydrated during every-day activities. Constructed with 18/8 food
grade stainless steel and utilizing a cork-lined threaded stopper with a Kånken-style webbing handle at
the top, the Klunken Rainbow is available in two colors that mirror the current Kånken Rainbow color
options. As is true with all Primus products, the Klunken Rainbow is designed with timeless styling and
constructed of premium materials.
