Sustainable Apparel Coalition Launches Public Registration for Higg.org, Extends Discounted Rate for Facilities Through January 31: Please see the following note from the SAC for more details.

“We have launched public registration of Higg.org and 2,000 facilities have already successfully registered. Due to overwhelming demand on the new platform, we have worked over the past couple of weeks to build a more robust support structure that meets the needs of all new users.

Given this increased demand in support requests, unless it impacts your business operations, we ask that you consider waiting until January 2018 to invite your facilities and supply chain partners to register on Higg.org. While we will have support in place over the holidays to assist users, it will be more limited in scope and requests may take longer to fulfill. In January we will have a full support staff in place to handle the increased volume and will send communications you can leverage to invite your supply chain partners to register on Higg.org. In addition, as a result of the delayed launch for public registration to Higg.org, we are extending our discount to facilities to pay only $100 through January 31, 2018. On February 1, 2018, registration will increase to $150 per facility module. Brands and retailers, including small and medium-sized enterprises are now also welcome to register on the platform.”

C&A Foundation: Request for Proposals for Circular Business Models: C&A Foundation is looking for innovative ways to bridge the gap in the implementation of circular business models in companies at all levels of the apparel value chain.

C&A Foundation has a budget of EUR 1.5m for this call (maximum budget for one grant proposal is EUR 300k). The proposal may be part of a larger collaboration or programme and leverage other funds. Deadline: February 18, 2018. Applicants must fulfil the criteria outlined in the request for proposals, and use the template provided in the appendix. Applications must be sent to circular@candafoundation.org.
