PEAR Sports is a health and fitness software platform that delivers targeted smart coaching technology for dozens of leading brands. The new Protekt App will have curated training programs to promote overall wellness and prepare people to enjoy time outdoors. For both iOS and Android, the new app will be available for purchase on August 10, 2020 on the Apple Store and Google Play Store.

The Protekt App, powered by PEAR, will offer personalized, adaptive coaching programs with bespoke content using mobile and wearable technology with human coach guidance. The Protekt App is able to track a user’s heart rate, route, time, distance and calories burned during each workout session. It is also able to measure VO2max, a measure of aerobic capacity and fitness level.
Protekt co-founders, Nick Norris and Tim Duba, met at the U.S. Naval Academy where they were paired as roommates. Duba became a Naval Surface Warfare Officer and Norris served as a SEAL officer during combat operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan. The two best friends launched Protekt last month with a line of nutritional supplements and reef-safe sunscreen to help people optimize their health while enjoying the outdoors.
