Timberland Supports OIWC as Platinum Sponsor

Today OIWC is thrilled to welcome Timberland as a new Platinum Corporate Member. The Platinum Corporate Member level is the highest offered by OIWC.
Cassie Heppner, Senior Manager of Marketing for Timberland North America stated, “As a brand deeply rooted in the outdoors, Timberland is excited to support the Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition. Through our corporate membership, we are providing Timberland employees access to the OIWC network of educational and networking events, as well as monthly professional development topics. Timberland’s support of the OIWC, collectively with other supporting partners, ensures that OIWC continues to empower and provide opportunity for women in the outdoor industries.” Heppner adds, “In support of recognizing women in the outdoor industries and showcasing career choices and career paths to young, active outdoor women, Timberland is proud to sponsor and visibly promote OIWC’s First Ascent and Pioneering Woman Awards.”
In addition to its Corporate Membership, Timberland also joins Women’s Adventure Magazine as a co-sponsor of OIWC’s Pioneering Woman and First Ascent Awards. These awards are given at Winter Outdoor Retailer, SIA and Interbike. The Pioneering Woman award honors women within the Outdoor Industry who have furthered the vision of the OIWC by demonstrating an outstanding commitment to mentoring female colleagues. To compliment the Pioneering Woman award, the First Ascent Award recognizes a woman new to the industry who has demonstrated strong potential for leadership. It also furthers the vision of OIWC by increasing visibility of talented young women exhibiting the skills for long-term success
Timberland will also participate in the OIWC November regional event in Reading MA, and they will host a Network Night in 2011 at their headquarters.
