Designed, built and tested to military standards, Suunto packs key mission-ready features into the Suunto Core Alpha Stealth, including ‘red light mode’ for uncompromising useage in the dark with night vision goggles. Military, tactical, survival enthusiasts and hunters will appreciate the robust construction, seamless ease of use and 12-month battery capacity in time mode without the need to charge for total off-grid usability.
In order to meet military standards (MIL-STD-810), the Suunto Core Alpha Stealth underwent extensive and extreme testing situations, including vibration and shock management, variant temperature exposure, long-term liquid submersions scenarios, among other tests. The watch’s textile strap is Berry Amendment compliant, assuring indisputable durability while also ensuring manufacturing took place in the United States.
“Suunto has a long history of building durable wearables designed for tactical use and outdoor functionality. The new Suunto Core Alpha Stealth is another step toward providing a versatile and all-around performance orientated non-connected sports watch, with rich features like the new night vision goggle compatibility,” says Heikki Norta, Suunto’s president. “We are excited to provide members of the military, hunters, and off-grid enthusiasts with another tool for navigating unfamiliar territory.”
Users can navigate unexplored terrain with confidence using the precise built-in compass, featuring adjustable declination, digital and mechanical bearing locks, 30 meter water resistance, altitude, barometer and depth recording. Detailed weather insights include measurements of sea level pressure with graphing, weather trends indicator, sunrise and sunset times, temperature readings and a storm alarm.

About Suunto: We stand for adventure. Pioneering exploration has been in our DNA since 1936, when Finnish orienteer Tuomas Vohlonen set out to create a more accurate compass, and subsequently invented a new method for manufacturing liquid‐filled compasses. Today Suunto is at the forefront of design and innovation for sports watches, dive computers and instruments used by adventurers all over the globe.
Eighty-five years from our founding, we are proud that Suunto products can take a beating, but are also designed with an everyday aesthetic that reflects our Nordic identity. Suunto’s headquarters and factory are still in Finland. We are part of Amer Sports along with sister brands Salomon, Arc’teryx, Peak Performance, Atomic and Wilson. www.suunto.com
