For over 125 years, Schwinn has empowered millions to get out and ride, and they aren’t done yet… Building on its legacy, Schwinn, a brand of Dorel Industries, Inc. (TSX: DII.B, DII. A), today introduced an all-new line of electric bikes, the Marshall, the Coston CE, and the Coston DX. These new e-bikes deliver the same great riding experience and Schwinn quality consumers have come to expect. The addition of pedal assist motors and rechargeable batteries lets riders roam farther than ever before. The Marshall, the Coston CE, and the Coston DX are available now at www.SchwinnBikes.com and key retailers.

“We’re thrilled to bring these new e-bikes to market. With this product we believe we will be able to bring the joy of riding to more people,” said Joe Werwie III, Schwinn’s Senior Director of E-Bike Product Development. “With our history, we know how to build quality products that consumers can trust, and now with this new line of e-bikes we are providing the latest technology and style at a great value to help our consumers turn a bike ride into a fun adventure.”

Each bike, with size options in S/M and L/XL, is available in two different styles – a standard step-over and an easy-to-throw-your leg-over step-thru option. The lineup provides a good, better, best assortment that is differentiated by battery, range, and product features. The Coston DX is Schwinn’s premium offering that goes up to 45 miles on a single charge and comes equipped with fenders, a rear rack, and a unique storage saddle for essentials. The Coston CE and the Marshall both have the capability to go up to 35 miles on a single charge. The Coston CE comes equipped with fenders, while the Marshall is the base model.

Each model includes an integrated lithium-ion battery and a 250Wh hub drive motor. Pedal assistance provides a boost up to 20 mph, while a throttle gives extra zip when needed. Additionally, all bikes have headlights, taillights, and integrated downtube lights for full visibility.

Schwinn will launch in stock with inventory on all sizes, colors, and styles. The Marshall retails at $1499.99, the Coston CE is $1699.99, and the Coston DX is $1999.99.
