ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO, February 14th 2022 — Rerouted recently announced that they are moving their headquarters to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

After much deliberation, the used outdoor gear company has decided to relocate its headquarters to New Mexico. With the new push by the New Mexico State government for economic growth in outdoor recreation, it is an exciting time for outdoor enthusiasts and companies. The new policies are specifically geared toward creating jobs, maintaining trails, and serving historically underserved communities like low-income youth. These policies align perfectly with Rereouted’s core ideals of preserving and enjoying nature while making outdoor recreation affordable for everyone.

“We were inspired by the work of the Outdoor Recreation Department of New Mexico and everything they are doing to get people involved in preserving and enjoying the wilderness. Our company is dedicated to getting people out in nature and these new policies are geared toward doing just that. It seems like the perfect fit for us.” – Samantha Grubb, rerouted Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy

“We aren’t interested in fighting for the middle in already established outdoor enthusiast hubs. Instead, we want to be at the head of a new wave of wilderness adventure lovers. New Mexico has always been beautiful but the growing interest in outdoor activities here is unlike anything the state has ever seen before. There is going to be a whole new generation of climbers, hikers, bikers, and skiers in this area soon and we want to be at the center of all the action.” – Chap Grubb, rerouted Founder and CEO

Rerouted is a young company looking to make a difference in the world. New Mexico is the perfect place to do just that. Every adventure athlete has either too much gear or not enough gear. There is no perfect amount. Our company is centered on the simple premise: Earn money, save money and play outside more. Adventure sports provide so much opportunity for people to grow both personally and professionally. We hope to inspire more people to safely and responsibly engage with nature. That is why we are making the move to New Mexico. We believe that every individual has the ability to make a difference, we are just offering the opportunity.

“We see this move as an opportunity to be a positive influence in the community. We plan to provide education about how to safely and responsibly engage with nature, inspire a healthy and active lifestyle and, provide job opportunities. Rerouted is a company that cares about the people we serve and the community we live in. We chose Albuquerque because we thought it was the place we could make the greatest possible positive impact.” –  Samantha Grubb, rerouted Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy

“It is an exciting time to be an outdoor company in New Mexico. The culture here is shifting to a community of people who love and respect the outdoors. As a person who loves nature, I could not be happier about it and as a company that provides gently loved gear, the opportunities are boundless. We are thrilled to be on the cutting edge of what we expect to be the booming new center of outdoor recreation.” – Chap Grubb, rerouted Founder and CEO
