prAna Reaches Major Sustainability Goal with its Spring/Summer 2022 Collection
Carlsbad, CA – October 4, 2021 – prAna, creator of Clothing for Positive Change and a leader in sustainable, outdoor fashion, announced today that every style in the Spring/Summer 2022 collection has at least one preferred attribute. In establishing this goal, prAna identified 13 preferred attributes selected based on best available technology in social or environmental criteria. These preferred attributes include bluesign® fabric or product, Fair Trade CertifiedTM or Factory, recycled or organic content, Responsible Down (RDS) or Wool (RWS) Standard, EcoBlack PrimaLoft, Hemp, TENCELTM Lyocell or Modal, and PFASs-Free DWR.
“Taking both people and planet into consideration, we have been working tirelessly to create products that meet our preferred attributes,” said Rachel K. Lincoln, prAna’s director of sustainability and social responsibility. “This achievement creates a new baseline for our products and supports our aspirational sustainability goals in both preferred fibers and Fair Trade.”
This accomplishment represents a major milestone for prAna. Sustainability has been a core value of the brand since it was founded in 1992. Since then, prAna has set goals around its methods and materials that respect the planet and its people as part of its commitment to make Clothing for Positive Change.
