prAna, a leader in sustainable, outdoor apparel, announced today the gender neutral Outdoor Originals capsule for its Spring/Summer 2023 (SS23) collection. Inspired by heritage prAna styles, the capsule is being released to correspond with the brand’s 30th anniversary and marks three decades of climbing, flowing, and exploring the world.

“In building this collection, the design team combed through prAna’s catalog archive and chatted with the prAna founders, Beaver and Pam,” said President of prAna, Monica Mirro. “The result is a capsule collection that pays homage to pieces from prAna’s early years and is inspired by the philosophy that ‘all are welcome on the wall’”.

This special edition capsule is a nod to prAna’s nineties roots with vintage-inspired prAna pieces modernized with elevated silhouettes and genderless sizing. The Outdoor Originals capsule, with a color palette of sun-washed yellows, earth-baked reds, and coastal blues, features more than 10  styles including the centerpiece of the collection, the Hurricane Full Zip Fleece (MSRP $160), made with 100% recycled polyester, complemented by the Indio Heritage Short (MSRP $75) made with 100% recycled nylon using bluesign® approved material, and the Mantra Heritage Shirt (MSRP $75) and Mojave Pant (MSRP $99) as key styles made with organic cotton (shirt: 100% organic cotton, pant: 97% organic cotton).

In addition to the Outdoor Originals capsule, prAna SS23 collection offers an assortment of outdoor, lifestyle, yoga/active apparel, and swimwear featuring vibrant prints and colors inspired by the beauty of Baja California, Mexico. Highlights include:

Versatile Hike
prAna’s best outdoor pant series, ReZionTM, has expanded to include 10 men’s and eight women’s bottoms; introducing new elastic waist options for comfort and easy-to-wear style and a new hybrid short for men that moves from land to water with ease, taking visual cues from the brand’s boardshorts (MSRP $69-$95). ReZion fabric is made with 95% recycled nylon in a Fair Trade Certified Factory, is bluesign approved, UPF 50+ rated, and pants are treated with PFAS-free DWR.

In addition, prAna is launching Double Peak, a new bottoms collection for SS23 designed for those seeking a more natural feel and versatile look in their adventure-ready wardrobe. The texture and breathability come from organic cotton, while recycled polyester brings in the strength and performance attributes. The collection will be available in six men’s and five women’s bottoms (MSRP $69-$95). Double Peak bottoms are made with a ripstop woven fabric blend containing 58% organic cotton and 39% recycled polyester in a Fair Trade Certified Factory and are UPF 50+ rated.

Yoga Active
The brand’s women’s yoga active collection for SS23 features the sustainably revamped Chakara® collection of trend-right silhouettes. The fabric is made with a recycled nylon blend (tops: 93% recycled nylon, bottoms: 88% recycled nylon) lightweight, stretch interlock fabric with moss face finish that is bluesign approved, made in a Fair Trade Certified Factory, and is UPF 50+ rated (MSRP $59-$99). The new Luxara Dress; an exercise dress and statement style in the LuxaraTM fabric collection, featuring a scoop neck A-line dress and interior shortie with shelf bra in the smooth and supportive, recycled nylon blend (76% recycled nylon), stretch performance jersey that is both bluesign approved and UPF 50+ rated (MSRP $119). Rounding out the assortment, are the new versatile active collections: Peak to Pavement bottoms and Alpenglow tops, which boast vibrant hues and are made with recycled polyester (bottoms: 100%, tops: 94%) in a Fair Trade Certified Factory; all are bluesign approved and UPF 30+ rated (MSRP $49-$85).

The SS23 sustainable, stay-put swimwear collection introduces 11 new silhouettes in two fabrications: prAna’s buttery soft and forgiving stretch jersey and the strong, structured, and supportive vita both of which are made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon (jersey: 82%; vita: 78%) by its Fair Trade Certified Factory partners. New prints Tropics and Flora Fauna were hand drawn for the collection, inspired by the botanicals of Baja California, Mexico which manifest in a brighter, more youthful evolution of color. The collection features a range of silhouettes from on-trend cheeky bottoms to a long sleeved one piece. The entire sustainable swimwear collection is UPF 50+ rated, stay-put, and is chlorine and saltwater resistant (MSRP $60-$115).
