BOULDER, Colo. (Jan. 14, 2019) – Matador Packable Adventure Gear, the award-winning producer of portable travel gear, today introduced two new products: the Better Tether, an adjustable tethering strap, and the Re-Tie, a reusable rubber zip tie. Together, the products further Matador’s mission of alleviating travel woes and making adventure more convenient.
“Many designs at Matador begin by noticing everyday problems and thinking of potential solutions,” said Chris Clearman, Founder and CEO of Matador. “Traditional tether straps don’t adjust easily, and it’s easy to break a fingernail while trying to release the tabs. Plastic zip ties are used once and then are forever in a landfill. With the Better Tether and Re-Tie, we’ve solved those problems, and, put simply, made it easy to attach things to things.”
The Better Tether is a 2-meter adjustable tethering strap that makes it easy to attach accessories to luggage or backpacks. While traditional tethering straps only pull from one side, causing a significant amount of adjustment and frustration, the Better Tether features dual-end aluminum hardware, making it easy to cinch straps while on the go. Additionally, the Better Tether’s Hypalon pull tabs easily release tightly-strapped gear, saving time and potential broken fingernails.
The Re-Tie is a reusable, adjustable zip tie made of natural rubber with a plastic toggle. The Re-Tie’s intended uses include attaching gear to packs, grouping loose items, and anything else a disposable zip tie could be used for. The Re-Tie adjusts in size from a half inch to one foot in circumference and are capable of supporting a 15-pound maximum load. The Re-Tie joins Matador’s FlatPak Series and the recently launched Packable Bottle in helping to eliminate common single-use plastics.
The Better Tether (available in a two-pack, MSRP: $16.99) and the Re-Tie (available in a four-pack, MSRP: $10.99) are available now at select retailers and online at www.MatadorUp.com.
