Another ride, another hot and sweaty back—it’s a problem that bike riders, particularly commuters, know all too well. Setting out to create a solution to improve backpack ventilation for bikers and pack-wearers of all kinds, New York City-based accessory brand VentaPak proudly announces the launch of its signature product, the VentaPak.
Designed as a lightweight, adjustable, and low-profile accessory to fit all standard-sized backpacks, VentaPak transforms wearing a pack into a more comfortable, cool and dry experience by creating a space for airflow between a person’s backpack and back. VentaPak was created by New York City entrepreneur and urban cyclist Mark Dingle who was tired of having a hot back while biking and then arriving at his destination with a shirt drenched in sweat. Deciding to do something, he developed the VentaPak and launched a successful Kickstarter campaign, addressing the need for an ergonomic, comfortable and lightweight ventilation accessory. “I realized the solution was to ‘get my pack off my back’ in order to create real separation and airflow,” says Mark. “We developed several prototypes to design an accessory that we believe delivers superior ventilation, cooling, and comfort, even compared with high end backpacks on the market. It allows you to enhance and keep enjoying your favorite backpack(s) that you’ve grown accustomed and attached to using. Hundreds of our Kickstarter and early customers around the world are now enjoying their VentaPaks each day and giving it rave reviews,” he adds.
Composed of a polyester hexagonal mesh screen secured on flexible spring-steel frame, the VentaPak securely attaches to the backside of any standard-sized backpack by using special attachment mechanisms with buckles and adjustable straps. At just 12 ounces, the VentaPak’s frame is covered with a soft and malleable neoprene foam, providing a comfortable fit that not only offers superior ventilation by separating your pack from your back, but also improves posture and back ergonomics by gently tugging shoulders back and providing lumbar support. The mesh screen also distributes pack load more evenly and comfortably across the back, keeping objects, especially non-flat ones, from pressing and digging into your back. Suitable for a wide range of uses, the VentaPak is an innovative, life enhancing accessory for anyone who commonly wears a backpack, including bikers, hikers, students, travelers, and walkers.
The VentaPak is available now for $39.50 at www.ventapak.com. For more information regarding VentaPak, contact Katie Richter at email@example.com.
