BOULDER, Colo. (Nov. 26, 2020) – Matador Travel Equipment, the award-winning producer of high-performance travel equipment, today introduced its Beast Series backpacks – ultralight, flexible-frame suspension packs designed for objective-based travel. The series, comprised of the Beast18 and Beast28, offers hydration-compatible frame packs engineered for technical outdoor pursuits, capable of packing down for compact transport.
“Packability with absolutely no sacrifice on performance – the Beast Series offers fully equipped alpine packs that can compress and pack away for efficient travel,” said Chris Clearman, Founder and CEO of Matador. “Ultralight technical backpacks, chock-full of features, that you can throw in your luggage – keeping you ready for any rugged mountain pursuits that await.”
The Beast28 and Beast18 are built from durable 210D Robic® fabric, reinforced with a UTS coating for weatherproofing and durability. A flexible-frame suspension system provides support and torsion with movement, and a removable hip belt and sternum strap ensure comfortable stability. Additional features include a hydration-compatible internal reservoir sleeve, oversized water bottle pockets, two internal pockets and a key loop for securing small items, and external gear loops to accommodate hiking poles, ice axes, or other tools. The Beast28 additionally offers zippered pockets on its hip belt. Both models pack down into a compression storage sack for travel.
“We’ve pioneered a concept called objective-based travel – it’s a hellbent pursuit of a unique experience, location or achievement,” continued Clearman. “It’s travel that tests your limits – and travel that requires high-performance equipment. The Beast Series is exactly that – unprecedented functionality no matter where the objective may be.”
The Beast28 (MSRP: $134.99) and the Beast18 (MSRP: $124.99) are available now at select retailers and online at https://www.matadorup.com/.
