Denver, CO

The Adventure Photography Workshop will be returning to Jackson Hole, WY, September 21-26, 2013. Spend a week learning from top adventure photographers and editors while enjoying the outdoor paradise of the Jackson Hole valley. We’ll be working with professional athletes, National Geographic magazine and The North Face for an active week photographing climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, trail running, camping and more with principle support from Nikon, Adobe, SanDisk and a host of other top manufacturers. Six days of classroom instruction, career counseling, networking and field photography in the shadow of the Tetons in and around Jackson Hole Mountain Resort provides not only an insider’s view on technical and creative advances, but also practical career-development advice in this fast growing field.

Reinvigorate that creative eye, brush up on the latest technical advances, and push your photographic skills to new levels in a workshop environment that draws from the Summit Series 30+ years of workshop experience. Our team-teaching approach at each program offers participants the diverse and balanced perspective of eight or more faculty working at the top of their fields, plus networking and approachability second to none.

The faculty includes some of the best adventure photographers in the business. Corey Rich, co-founder of the workshop, is one of the leading outdoor adventure/lifestyle photographers in the nation today. Fellow photographers Lucas Gilman and Chris Burkard each bring diverse specialties and experience, offering attendees a wide variety of viewpoints. Sadie Quarrier, senior photo editor at National Geographic magazine and Scott Willson, director of photo, video, and new media at The North Face, both offer a unique photo editor’s perspective. And Rich Clarkson, the workshop organizer, is the respected former director of photography of the National Geographic Society. The combination of working on location in the iconic Jackson Hole valley, while working side by side with some of the best adventure photographers in the world, separates this workshop from others.
