Dakine announces a new four-year partnership, naming Dakine the official glove and bag partner of Alterra Mountain Company’s 15 North American mountain destinations. This partnership will be activated year-round to support all winter and summer on-mountain activities at each Alterra Mountain Company destination.
From bottomless pow days to sunny laps with friends, Dakine has been a fixture on the mountain for decades. The year-round partnership with Alterra Mountain Company will bring Dakine’s technical gear to both Alterra Mountain Company guests and staff alike. Dakine’s range of products will be featured at three new retail shop-in-shop locations at Stratton in Vermont, Snowshoe in West Virginia and Big Bear Mountain Resort in California. Dakine will also be a featured part of Alterra Mountain Company’s employees, outfitting select on-mountain winter staff with gloves and backpacks and will be the uniform of choice for all resort bike parks during the summer season.
“We are excited to collaborate with Dakine, a brand that shares our passion for adventure, exploration, and the mountains,” says Ryan Blanchard, Director of Brand Partnerships, Alterra Mountain Company. “Featuring Dakine’s products throughout our family of mountain destinations offers an excellent opportunity to highlight these premium products and offer our guests opportunities to purchase handwear, snow backpacks and luggage that will have them returning to the mountains year after year.”
“Dakine’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and community are shared values with Alterra Mountain Company. This partnership allows us to join forces with each regional destination and help guests enjoy the best possible experience on the mountain,” says Pamela Levine, SVP for Dakine. “Since 1979, we have been focused on creating trusted, durable, and purposeful products for our riders, and this long-term relationship provides opportunities across North America for us to bring those products to life.”
Dakine and Alterra Mountain Company destinations will also collaborate on future Dakine-sponsored events to be held at various destinations across North America.
