This is #MyOutdoorStory. What’s Yours?
Each of us has a story—unique in its particulars but ubiquitous in its theme—about how we fell in love with the outdoors. This is our collective narrative.
The first time you went camping, your first job at a local outdoor retail shop, the piece of gear that saved or changed your life, the ‘aha’ moment when you realized that you were an outdoorist.
These stories drove many of us to commit our careers to the outdoor industry. To bring these diverse, inspiring narratives to life and to archive and share them among our community, we’re launching the #MyOutdoorStory oral history project, in conjunction with our Audio Outdoorist podcast.
Below are outdoor stories that we’ve collected as part of our #MyOutdoorStory campaign and are archiving here. Want to include your story? You can. Here’s how.
