After a long day of meetings, OU sessions, dealings and small talk,  you’ve earned yourself a beer…maybe two.

We’ve compiled this list of happy hours, parties and giveaway events so you can optimize your party-hopping. Check back frequently. We’ll update the list between now and night 4 to keep you fully apprised.

Monday, August 3rd

Sustainability Insights Conference Happy Hour – 5:00 p.m. (Downtown Marriott City Creek): The OIA corporate responsibility team gets the Salt Lake City party started a few days before the trade show even begins as they kick off the bi-annual Sustainability Insights Conference. Join us at Zest to celebrate the hard work our industry is doing to make the outdoor world a more sustainable place.

Day 0 – Tuesday, August 4th

Outsiders Ball – 6:00-11:00 p.m. (Gallivan Center): Join us for Outdoor Foundation’s annual Outsiders Ball at the Gallivan Center to party for a purpose in support of getting youth outdoors. The event raises money to fund 100 outdoor projects and features activities, food and beer, live music, art installations, and more. Get your tickets here.

Outsiders After-Party – 10:00 p.m.: The festivities don’t stop once Outsiders Ball winds down. Here’s the thing about this after-party: it’s top-secret. Go here to learn more and reserve your key to this mysterious event, which takes place at one of Salt Lake City’s only speakeasies.

Day 1 – Wednesday, August 5th

OIA Consumer Insights Happy Hour + Gear Giveaway – 4:30 p.m. (BRL #200): Join us at the OIA booth (BRL #200) for our daily happy hour and gear giveaway. We’ll be tapping a free keg, supplying thirsty attendees with Eco Vessel pint glasses and connecting with the industry. Our consumer insights team will take the mic for a few minutes to discuss their ground-breaking research and resources.

Celebration of Public Lands – 4:30-6:00 p.m. (Caffé Molise): Following a Public Land Heist Roundtable event, OR attendees are invited to come together with leaders of the outdoor industry to celebrate our public lands and rally against the state takeover of federal lands. Food and drinks will be provided at Caffe Molise.

Help Granite Gear Save the BWCA – 4:00-5:00 p.m. (Booth #36155): Join explorer Amy Freeman and the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters at the Granite Gear booth (#36155) as she talks about her upcoming A Year in the Wilderness and shares the need to protect this beloved canoe country from proposed sulfide-ore copper mining. Learn about a great cause, sign the petition, donate and enjoy beer in a trail mug!

Astral Happy Hour 4:20-6:00 p.m. – (Booth #38106): Astral is launching a new logo for Spring 2016 and celebrating the new look with a social at their booth (#38106). Beverages provided by Sweet Protection.

Venture Out Happy Hour – 4:30-5:30 p.m. (Venture Out): Head to the Venture Out area to enjoy happy hour festivities hosted by Teva.

Industry Party – 6:00-8:00 p.m. (The Pavilions): You made it through Day 1. Come celebrate at The Pavilions at OR. There will be beer, there will be music, there will be food – and word on the street is that the Mountain Khakis mechanical bull will make an appearance.

Day 2 – Thursday, August 6th

OIA Advocacy Happy Hour + Gear Giveaway – 4:30 p.m. (BRL #200): Join us at the OIA booth (BLR #200) for our daily happy hour and gear giveaway. We’ll be tapping a keg, supplying thirsty tradeshow goers with free Eco Vessel and Stanley pint glasses, and connecting with the industry. Our government affairs team will take the mic for a few minutes to give you a peek into the work we do on Capitol Hill on behalf of the entire outdoor industry.

Sherpa Adventure Gear Nepal Happy Hour – 4:00 p.m.: Sherpa Adventure Gear is hosting an event to thank contributors to its Nepal earthquake relief effort, which has raised more than $150,000 (100% of which goes to aid) via Crowdrise. See compelling imagery and hear stories from founder Tashi Sherpa. T-shirt sales ($20) during the reception will support the rebuilding of Nepal. Snacks and beverages, too.

Outdoor Industry Military Veterans Happy Hour 4:00-6:00 p.m. (Downtown Marriott City Creek) Held at the Alta-Snowbird Room at the Marriott Downtown this is an opportunity to meet and network with military veterans in the outdoor industry. Learn how to get involved with the group – this event is open to veterans and non-veterans alike. RSVP here.

Backpacks and Brews Benefit for the American Alpine Club – 4:30-6:00 p.m. (Booth #20015): Head to the Mountainsmith booth (#20015) for a happy hour benefitting American Alpine Club. There will be 200 limited edition AAC 2016 Scream 25 backpacks on sale for $40 each, plus cold PBR and free cozies.

Granite Gear Lutsen Celebration with Explorer Eric Larsen – 4:00-5:00 p.m. (Booth #36155): Granite Gear (#36155) celebrating our new, custom-fit Lutsen backpacks! Join them for beer in a trail mug and a demo of the new multi-day packs. Plus, Polar Explorer Eric Larsen will raffle off a backpack and a few photos.

TEXbase Happy Hour – 4:30 p.m. (Booth #62028): Stop by the TEXbase booth (#62028) for Montana and Colorado brews. Awesome giveaways + limited space = a better chance of winning something amazing. Contact TEXbase to RSVP. (Only 25 spots.)

Dark and Stormy Kromer Cocktail Party – 4:30 p.m. (Booth #10039): Stop by Stormy Kromer’s booth (10039) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and grab a limited-edition waxed cotton koozie.

Augtoberfest at Deuter – 4:30-6:00 p.m. (Booth #4001): As a fundraiser for Leave no Trace, Deuter (4001) will host a biergarten with traditional German beer, pretzels and music. A special prize pack raffle will be held and sweet deals on backpacks.

Princeton Tec Cheers to 40 Years Anniversary Party – 4:30 p.m. (Booth #23001): Head to the Princeton Tec to celebrate four decades of manufacturing. You’ll be able to snag throwback lights at discounted price, and all proceeds benefit American Mountain Guides Association.

Outdoor Research Happy Hour – 4:30 PM (Booth #26015): Celebrate the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, the greatest canoe country in the world, and join the movement to protect this special place from the threat of sulfide-ore copper mining. $10 donations for a  souvenir pint glass and beer! Sign up to support the cause and get entered to win fun swag from our sponsors. You’ll also hear stories about Paddle to D.C. from National Geographic Adventurer of the Year Amy Freeman. 

National Parks Conservation Association Happy Hour to Protect the Grand Canyon – 4:30 p.m. (Liberty Bottle Works #BRL226): Head to the Liberty Bottle Works booth where you can learn how to help protect the Grand Canyon. A $15 donation gets you a Grand Canyon water bottle, Bohemian Brewery beer, and a raffle ticket.

Osprey Packs with National Park Foundation Happy Hour – 4:30 p.m. (Booth #4011): Sip on Dirty Girl Scout drinks and snack on s’mores by the fire. Participate in National Park Trivial hosted by Timmy O’Niell for a chance to win Osprey prize packages.

New Product Zone Happy Hour – 4:45-6:00 p.m. (New Product Zone): Explore the New Product Zone with a drink in hand compliments of Roots Rated.

Celebration of James Wilson’s Life – 5:00 p.m. (Booth # 18027): Join us at the Summit USA booth for a beer and Celebration of Life for our friend James Wilson of Bishop, CA.  James passed July 15th from complications of a stroke. An inspiration to many and devoted conservation leader in the Eastern Sierra, James was involved in most if not all of the Eastern Sierra environmental issues for the past 30 years.  James founded Wilson’s Eastside Sports and was also a key contributor and co-founder of a number of conservation groups including Friends of the Inyo and the Eastern Sierra Audubon.  We will miss his dry wit and calm demeanor.  

Wellness Gathering – 5:00-6:00 p.m. (Yoga Wellness Center): Head to the Yoga Wellness Center for a happy hour presented by Yoga Journal, Soybu, YOGO, and Outdoor Retailer.

Yonder Mountain String Band with Mountain Hardwear – 9:00 p.m. (The Depot): Mountain Hardwear, along with Goal Zero, Big Truck Brand, Club Ride, Silipint, Audie Expo, and Park City Brewing are hosting this musical event at The Depot to raise money and awareness for Protect Our Winters. Get tickets here.

Day 3 – Friday, August 7th

OIA Sustainability Happy Hour + Gear Giveaway – 4:30 p.m. (BRL #200): Join us at the OIA booth (BRL #200) for our daily happy hour and gear giveaway. We’ll be tapping a keg, supplying thirsty partiers with free Stanley pint glasses, and connecting with the industry. Our corporate responsibility team will take the mic for a few minutes to talk about making the outdoor industry more sustainable.

Venture Out Happy Hour – 4:30-6:00 p.m.: More info TBA.

Pacific Northwest Fest 6:00-8:00 p.m. – (Pavilions at OR): Experience the best of the Pacific Northwest! Community pride reigns supreme as local companies like Stanley, Superfeet, Mountain House, and Pistil bring the best of the region to you.  The Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) will bring the music—featuring the sounds of Seattle’s finest bands in honor of the upcoming OIA Rendezvous location. Music, food, art and brews will evoke the spirit, and home-grown activities will make you feel like you’ve been transported to these outdoor meccas. Afterward, head down the street to the Depot where the music goes on and on.

The Revival – 8:30 p.m.-1:00 a.m. (The Depot): The Friday night festivities continue with a massive musical fiesta where all are invited to perform for your outdoor industry comrades. Sign-up to play at the event here.
