GSP Footwear Act of 2017

Status: Introduced

The GSP Footwear Act makes certain footwear products, including hiking boots, hiking shoes and trail-running shoes, eligible for inclusion in the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), the main trade preference program for developing countries. If the bill passes, OIA would be able to petition to make those footwear products duty-free if they are sourced from a GSP beneficiary country.
