Overall Outdoor Product sales were up 2.2 percent to $816.9 million in the four-week fiscal period ended August 25, 2012. A mid-single-digit decline in Outdoor Apparel offset moderate gains in Outdoor Footwear and Outdoor Hardgoods.
The biggest retail trade channel gains came from the Independent Outdoor Specialty (+12.3 percent) and Mid-Tier Retailer (+14.6 percent) retail trade channels. The Independent Outdoor Specialty channel got most of its lift from double-digit increases in Outdoor Apparel and Outdoor Hardgoods while the Mid-Tier Retailer channel saw all of its increase come from Outdoor Footwear.
