Native Eyewear Announces Finalists for “Giveback Grant”

Five Whitefish, Montana organizations vie for $5,000

Denver, CO (October 25, 2012) –Native Eyewear, makers of high-performance, polarized sunglasses for adventures of all types, has narrowed the potential “Giveback Grant” recipients in Whitefish, Montana to five organizations. The $5,000 grant will be awarded to one of the following groups on November 11, 2012: A-Rob Plant a Seed Project, DREAM, Whitefish Legacy Partners, Whitefish Review, and Youth Image Project.

“Native received so many submissions from so many great Whitefish organizations, that it made the process of narrowing it down to five, incredibly difficult,” says Al Perkinson, Native Eyewear’s Vice President of Marketing. “Now we’ll look to our Facebook fans to rally support and spread the word for the top groups to help influence our selection of the final “Giveback Grant” recipient.

Fans of the top five organizations can head to the Native Eyewear Facebook page through November 7th, 2012 to rally support.

The “Giveback Grant” program is Native Eyewear’s show of appreciation to thank the Whitefish community for their hospitality and participation in the 2012 Locals Only Project. The grant program marks the culmination of a 4-month relationship with the town and residents of Whitefish, MT.

The Locals Only Project is a program that seeks to find the best mountain towns, the best local talent and the best local adventures - all through fan nomination and votes. Native works with the local community to create content for their annual catalog and marketing materials by letting the locals tell their stories that embody the Native Eyewear brand of adventure, outdoors and the mountain lifestyle. Currently in it’s third year of the Locals Only Project, Native Eyewear has traveled to Boulder, CO, Hood River, OR and is wrapping up this year in Whitefish, MT.
